The engineering behind Floorcraft

Sound familiar?

If any of this is you, you are in the right place.

  • You are tired of dating apps and want to meet people face to face.
  • Bars are loud and awkward, and clubs are not really about connection.
  • You want a natural way to talk to people without the pressure of a date.

Where this goes

You go from swiping alone to a standing night out where you know the room, dance with everyone, and never run out of people to talk to.

  • A fun, low pressure way to meet people in person.
  • A skill that makes you more confident and interesting.
  • A regular social scene where you actually know people.

Why Canberra School of Dancing

Built to actually get you there.

A group class is an hour of meeting people with something to do, which is the hard part solved.

Ask about socials and practice nights, where the whole point is to actually dance.

A skill that pays off far beyond the studio, at every wedding and night out.

Come solo. Most people do, and you will fit right in.

What we build toward

I came to get off the apps and learn something. I ended up with a whole friend group and a lot more confidence.

Good questions

The things people ask first.

Is this a singles event or a dance class?

It is a real dance class. Partner dancing puts you face to face with people and gives you something to do, which makes it one of the most natural places to meet people, without any of the dating-event awkwardness.

Do I need a partner?

No. Most people come solo, and you are taught to lead or to follow so you can dance with anyone, which is exactly the point.

What if I am shy?

The structure does the hard part. You always know what to do and who to dance with next, so there is no standing around wondering how to start a conversation.
